Meyer founded Excel Therapy after more than 15 years of experience as a physical therapist in a range of medical settings. Prior to establishing Excel, Meyer first served as the lead physical therapist of Kessler’s Transitional Care Unit. After working in multiple long- term care facilities that presented opportunities to provide therapy care for the full life cycle of rehabilitation, Meyer became part of the Lakewood-based First Rehab team. His continuing education includes sports rehab and he has a special interest in movement disorders involving LSVT and Rock Steady Boxing.
Melissa is Excel Therapy’s office manager with over two decades of professional experience in the healthcare field. Melissa began her career at North Shore Long Island Jewish-Northwell Health and spent 12 years within a Rehab/Brain injury setting. Most recently, Melissa moved to New Jersey where she worked for RWJ Barnabas Health. Melissa’s professionalism and pleasantness at Excel helps create an unparalleled experience for our clients.
Zachary is Excel Therapy’s beloved and energetic gym manager. His extensive experience, keen eyes for proper body mechanics, and easygoing personality make him so good at what he does.
Zachary graduated Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Science. He is an avid athlete who enjoys competitive sports, weightlifting, track and field, and professional bowling.
Moshe is one of Excel Therapy’s premiere physical therapists. He graduated from Touro University School of Health Science with a doctorate in physical therapy. Moshe completed clinical rotations in multiple settings, including neuro and orthopedics, with an emphasis on rehabilitation of the competitive athlete. Moshe’s passion for health and fitness motivates his continued education in biomechanics, sports rehab, and back and spine health. Moshe has a Level I Herman Wallace certification in Men’s health and has been successfully treating associated disorders. Moshe’s kind and easygoing manner enables him to work well with clients of all ages.
Max assists the Excel Therapy team in working with kids and adults as a therapy aide. Known for his kind heart and great passion for rehab, health, and fitness, Max is currently enrolled in a professional fitness training program that will advance his capacity to assist others in their quest for better health.
Jerik comes to excel therapy with many years of experience as a physical therapy aide for children, adults, and the elderly. Jerik graduated nursing school in the Philippines and received a Bachelor’s degree in science and nursing prior to moving to the United States. Thereafter, Jerik joined the US military and proudly served as a combat medic for five years. As a civilian, he continued his career in the healthcare field by working as a rehabilitation tech in home and outpatient settings. Ever since joining our team, Jerik has continued to prove himself as a compassionate and skilled care provider.
Ajay’s successful career began with extensive training at the New Jersey Spine and Sports Center where he was instructed by John Burns. He specialized in Myofascial Release and other manual and soft tissue techniques. He was instrumental in treating back and neck pain. Subsequently, he worked in the long-term care setting, treating patients in the geriatric, outpatient, orthopedic spaces, as well as sports-related injuries.
